We are proud to be partnering with 2 charities to help raise funds for very worthy causes.
The first one is Strathcarron Hospice, just a few miles from the festival location. We chose Strathcarron because it personal to so many in the local area. If people have not experienced the amazing work they do first hand, they are more than likely to know someone who had.
Strathcarron believe that people should not only die well, but live well. They support patients and their loved ones to make every moment count by providing specialist pallative care and expert end of life care for the people of Forth Valley.
All services are free and provided when and where they are needed- in patients’ own homes, in hospitals and care homes and in our Hospice at Denny. The Hospice currently receives about 38% of our running costs from the NHS and in addition they need to raise over £12,900, each and every day. They could not continue to provide the range of services that they do without the commitment and support of their local community. We want to be part of that local community and help raise funds on the day of the festival. You’ll see people with collection buckets, buskers and a stall so you can find out more about the amazing work that they do at Strathcarron.
Our second charity partnership is Cash for Kids. If you listen to either of our media partners Forth2 or Clyde2, then you will most probably have heard of this very worthy charity.
Cash for Kids responds to the needs of children in our local communities so they can live life to the full and realise their individual potential. In 2018 Radio Forth’s Cash for Kids raised £1.7 million helping over 48,000 children.
Cash for Kids can support children in our local communities who are suffering from illness, along with children that have additional support needs as well as supporting children living in deprivation. They work closely with community groups, individuals and grassroots organisations.
We are over the moon to be nominated alongside so many prestigious and established festivals
We really do plan on making the 2020 festival bigger and better than last year.
This year we are teaming up with the North Star Bar in the centre of Falkirk to bring the North Star Dance Tent to the 2020 festival.
